OTI, WTI and Transformer Monitoring Product Scope
Our product scope centers on transformer thermal instrumentation. It includes transformer oil temperature indicators (OTI), transformer winding temperature indicators (WTI), BWY oil temperature controller families, BWR winding temperature controller families and powered monitoring devices for remote transformer condition data. This narrow scope helps buyers compare products by measurement purpose instead of enclosure appearance.
Transformer Oil Temperature Indicators
An OTI follows top-oil temperature through a sensing bulb installed in the specified transformer thermometer pocket. Depending on the selected configuration, it can provide a local dial, adjustable contacts for cooling or alarm and a remote Pt100 or 4–20 mA signal.
Transformer Winding Temperature Indicators
A traditional WTI combines the top-oil input with a load-current-related heating simulation. It represents simulated winding temperature for cooling, alarm and trip logic. It is different from a direct embedded winding hot-spot sensor, and the project documentation should preserve that distinction.
How INNO Supports BWY and BWR Model Selection
BWY and BWR are product families rather than complete purchasing specifications. Selection should confirm the full model code, temperature scale, switch quantity and duty, remote output, power requirement, capillary length, sensing bulb, mounting thread, enclosure and destination environment. BWR winding instruments also require the CT and thermal-simulation arrangement to be checked.
For replacement projects, send the installed nameplate, dial, terminal diagram, mounting dimensions and capillary route. We compare functional, electrical and mechanical interfaces before treating a proposed model as a replacement. The current datasheet, outline drawing and terminal diagram remain the controlling order documents.
